SPE TechNight with DL Tao Yang from Equinor

SPE Bergen Section warmly invites you to this year’s fourth TechNight, held on Thursday, September 11th at Nøsteboden.

We’re proud to feature Dr. Tao Yang, Chief Professional and Senior Specialist at Equinor and a renowned expert in reservoir fluid analysis.

Dr. Yang will present pioneering research on Gel permeation chromatography with UV detection (GPC-UV) - a technique that enables accurate fluid property analysis from drill cuttings contaminated by oil-based mud. This method offers a safe, cost-effective alternative to traditional downhole sampling, with wide-ranging applications in drilling, reservoir management, and production optimization.
